We are delighted to start the season with choreographer Emanuel Gat! The founder of the Emanuel Gat Dance Company is currently rehearsing his new piece "Abschied" with our ensemble. It will premiere in Frankfurt on 23. October.

The title of the piece refers to "Der Abschied", part of Gustav Mahler's song cycle "Das Lied von der Erde". Mahler's music plays a prominent role in Gat's new work, but that's not all: in the middle of the piece, there will be a section without music. Gat's work follows choreographic principles in which the end result cannot be predicted, making each performance unique.
